Accessible Active Transportation Audit Committee Application Form
Applications are being accepted until Friday, Nov. 7, 2025.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for up to 10 people to join the committee and help complete audits of active transportation infrastructure in West Kelowna.
The City welcomes applications from all residents, including people with lived or living experience of disability or who experience transportation or mobility challenges. Committee members will receive training, complete accessibility audits, provide feedback on community infrastructure, and ensure diverse experiences are reflected in City planning.
Committee members will be expected to:
- Attend a virtual or in person training on the auditing tools in November
- Complete a series of audits of active transportation infrastructure in Westbank Centre between November 2025 and February 2026
- Submit their audit findings through an online tool. For this project, audit participants will need to be comfortable using technology such as phone applications or online webpages, either on their own or with support.
- Provide feedback on the audit findings and process (verbally or written).
- This is expected to require a 10-hour time commitment during the pilot project.
Auditors will be compensated for their time with a cash honoraria. This honoraria will be an hourly rate of $25/hour for attending training, completing audits, and attending required meetings.
