Why do we need to update the Recreational Trails Master Plan?
It’s been a decade since the first Recreational Trails Master Plan was developed. It is now time to update it to reflect all the changes we’ve seen in our community such as increasing demand, changes in technology, growth in our City, and more. In a growing city like West Kelowna, a recreational trails plan is an important tool for maintaining and creating recreational connectivity, even as the City continues to evolve.
Why are you updating the Parks Master Plan at the same time?
The Parks Master Plan, developed in 2016, also needs an update. Since parks and recreational trails are closely linked, it makes sense to plan for these assets together. It also makes for a more streamlined process so you can share your input on both at the same time! Learn about the Parks Master Plan process here.
How does a Recreational Trails Master Plan fit within the overall City planning framework?

Please complete the Trails Feedback Form to share your input before May 24, 2024 and join us at our upcoming Community Open House! Your input will help refine the Draft Recreational Trails Master Plan prior to Council review later in 2024.
