About the new fire station
The new fire station is a modern, purpose-built facility designed to meet the needs of West Kelowna Fire Rescue and our growing community. It includesfour apparatus bays, a large gear room, hose tower, SCBA room, workshop, and living quartersto support firefighters in their critical work.
The project also delivers:
Removal of the former Lakeview Heights Community Centre, sport court, playground, and pickleball facilities
Construction of a new, combinedfire station and community centre
Installation of newpickleball courts, a new sports court and playground
Aparking areafor both the public and fire station operations
Publicgreen space and landscapingfor community use
Key benefits of the project are:
A fire station withroom for future growth
Enhanced community spacewith a modern community centre
Improved park space, including new pickleball courts, an updated sports court and playground
Development and design aligned with theOfficial Community PlanandCouncil’s Strategic Priorities, with a strong emphasis onaccessibility
