On Nov. 23, 2021, Council introduced their draft Strategic Priorities which sets out the direction for 2022.

An advanced look at Council's Strategic Priorities is open for comment. The community will have the opportunity to provide early input prior to the formal consultation program launching on Jan. 31 through to Feb. 13, 2022. Initial feedback will be shared with Council, prior to Jan. 31.

It’s important for Council and staff to receive early input and consider feedback about our efforts to balance the cost to deliver service and capital improvements outlined in the plan while meeting our diverse community expectations.

  • Read the 2021 Year in Review, which highlights the accomplishments in meeting Council’s 2021 – 2022 Strategic Priorities objectives under the Invest in Infrastructure, Economic Prosperity and Growth, Strengthen Our Community and Foster Safety and Well-Being pillars.

Council’s 2022 Strategic Priorities speak to a continued shared vision of West Kelowna as a vibrant and resilient community.

Comments will be considered in the finalization of the 2022 Strategic Priorities along with the final Budget.

Save the date! The last round of public input for the Five-Year Financial Plan and Council’s 2022 Strategic Priorities is scheduled to begin the first week of Jan. 31, 2022 as part of the formal consultation program. Public input will support Council’s decision-making that balances taxation and demand for service prior to second reading of the 2022 – 2026 Financial Plan Bylaw expected in the spring.

Provide your feedback on Council's Priorities

Do you have a question or would you like to provide feedback about Council's draft 2022 Strategic Priorities? Submit your initial thoughts before Wednesday, Jan. 19 or submit a question and we'll get back to you within 2-3 business days. 

  • The first round of feedback regarding the Draft 2022 Budget will be presented to Council on Jan. 25. The purpose of this first round is to provide the community with an early opportunity to comment on the draft budget prior to the formal consultation program launching on Jan. 31, 2022. 

Prior to adopting the Five-Year Financial Plan Bylaw in the spring, we will reach out to the community the week of Jan. 31 to hear from residents about what's important as part of the consultation program.
