Memorial Park Plan

• WHAT IS IT? The Park Plan is a document that will guide future recreational uses and improvements to infrastructure and amenities at Memorial Park over the next 10 years.

• WHY UPDATE? There have been several additions and updates to the park since the 2013 Park Plan was completed, including the new City Hall, amphitheatre, skatepark, and playground. These developments, along with emerging community ideas, are guiding the creation of an updated Park Plan.

• In Phase 1, we met with interest holders, hosted a community event, and had an online survey to gather input about the park today, confirm goals from the previous Park Plan, and collect ideas for future improvements. Read the Phase 1 Engagement Summary

• In the first part of Phase 2, we are engaging with youth, interest holders, staff, and Council to discuss options and priorities for the park’s future.

• Attending Music in the Park on Friday, August 28? Find us at our pop-up booth to share your ideas with us.

• Complete a survey now! Share your thoughts on potential amenities at Memorial Park. Complete your survey by September 25, 2026.

• Prefer to Show Us Your Ideas? Print out a Memorial Park Vision Board and email to Jamie.England@westkelownacity.ca.

Using all input received to date, a draft park concept is being developed.

We will be asking for community input on the draft concept later in Phase 2, coming in Fall 2026. Watch for opportunities to participate in a Community Event and to complete a Community Feedback Form.
